European Language Portfolio

European language portfolio is not a book or an extra material in fact it is an official system which has been forseen by ADP european council . this portfolio is based on self-determination and self-evaluation .this system could also be defined as self-determining and evaulating method for students inside or outside of school throughout their education.in this program learners are able to plan and improve their practices with or without help .this system evaluates english knowlege based on learners skills on listening ,writing ,reading and speaking.


Basic user

A1

understands the simple sentences directed towards him/her when he/she meets someone for the first time also can understand the basic instructions and announcements.

Can introduce somebody and use basic greeting and leave-taking expressions also ask and answer simple questions, initiate and respond to simple statements in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.

Can read and understand the important sections included in reservation forms and tickets also understands information about people (place of residence, age, etc.) in newspaper or magazines.

A2

can describe him/her self ,her/his family and other people also can give short, basic descriptions of events.

can make simple transactions in shops, post offices or banks.can also use public transport : buses, trains, and taxis, ask for basic information and buy tickets.

can understand a simple personal letter in which the writer tells or asks her/him about aspects of everyday life.can also understand personal transactions.

Independen user

B1

can use respect phrases for beliefs and lifestyles of foreign countries also can start, maintain and close simple face-to- face conversation on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.

can relate the plot of a book or film and describe my reactions also can paraphrase short written passages orally in a simple fashion, using the original text wording and ordering.

can Express purpose of travelling and the place where he/she is going to stay and other information to the customs officer.also can express and respond to feelings such as surprise, happiness, sadness, interest and indifference.

B2

Can initiate, maintain and end discourse naturally with effective turn-taking.Also can reply the detailed and complex questions about my workfield and explain my occupation in a clear and detailed way.

can convey degrees of emotion and highlight the personal significance of events and experiences.also engages in extended conversation in a clearly participatory fashion on most general topics.

can read letters on topics within his/her areas of academic or professional speciality or interest and grasp the most important points.

Proficient user

C1

can give clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects.

can use the language fluently, accurately and effectively on a wide range of general, professional or academic topics.

can use language flexibly and effectively for social purposes, including emotional,allusive and joking usage. can read complex reports, analyses and commentaries where opinions, viewpoints and connections are discussed.

C2

can present ideas and viewpoints in a very flexible manner in order to give emphasis, to differentiate and to eliminate ambiguity. 

can summarize orally information from different sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.

Has no difficulty in understanding any kind of spoken language, whether live or broadcast, even when delivered at fast native speed, provided I have some time to get familiar with the accent.
